▚ files open locally — nothing is uploaded
- 01Choose or drop a PDF. It opens locally and the tool shows its page count.
- 02Pick a mode: extract a page range into one new PDF, or split every page into separate files.
- 03Click the button. Your browser builds the output on your device and downloads it — a PDF, or a ZIP when splitting all pages.
The pages you split out of a document are usually the sensitive ones: the signature page of an agreement, one exhibit from a filing, a single statement from a year of records. Sending the whole document to a server to get one page back is exactly backwards.
ZorPDF splits documents where they already are — on your device. The page range syntax works like a print dialog, and the split-everything mode packages each page as its own PDF in a ZIP, named in order so they stay sorted.
What's the difference between the two split modes?+
Extract pages takes the pages you list (like 1-3, 7) and saves them as one new PDF — useful for pulling a chapter or an exhibit out of a larger document. Split every page turns each page into its own PDF and downloads them together as a ZIP.
How do I write the page range?+
Use commas and dashes, the way you would in a print dialog: 1-3, 7, 12-14 selects pages one through three, seven, and twelve through fourteen. The tool shows the document's page count once the file is loaded.
Is my document uploaded while splitting?+
No. The PDF opens inside your browser tab and is taken apart there. ZorPDF has no upload endpoint — there is nowhere for the file to go.
Does splitting reduce quality?+
No. Pages are copied into the new file exactly as they are — same fonts, images and resolution. Splitting is lossless.
