PNG is lossless — ideal for text pages, diagrams and screenshots. One page → a single PNG; multiple pages → a ZIP.
- 01Open a PDF — it stays on your device.
- 02Pick a resolution: 110 DPI for screens, 200 for print, 300 for maximum detail.
- 03Click Convert. One page → a PNG; multiple pages → a ZIP of numbered PNGs.
PDF to PNG is the right conversion when the page contains text or line art that must stay razor sharp — slides going into documentation, a table becoming an image, a form frozen for the record. JPG would smear those edges; PNG keeps them, and your browser does all of it locally.
PNG or JPG — which should I use?+
PNG is lossless: best for text pages, tables, diagrams and anything with sharp edges. JPG is smaller: better for photo-heavy pages. We have both tools.
What resolution should I pick?+
110 DPI for web and chat, 200 DPI for printing, 300 DPI for archiving or zooming. Higher DPI = bigger files.
Is the PDF uploaded for rendering?+
No. Your browser's own PDF engine draws each page and encodes the PNGs on your device.
