How it works
  1. 01Open a PDF — it stays local.
  2. 02Pick position, format (1 · 1/12 · Page 1), starting number and size.
  3. 03Click the button. The numbered copy is built on your device and downloads.

Page numbers are how a document survives being printed, dropped, and reassembled — and how "see page 14" means the same thing to everyone in the room. Merged files and scans usually arrive without them.

This tool stamps clean, consistently placed numbers in one pass. Court filings that need numbering, board packets assembled from five sources, theses with front matter — set the start value and format once, and the whole document comes out consistent, without having been uploaded anywhere.

FAQ
Which formats and positions are available?+

Three formats — plain numbers (1, 2, 3), number with total (1 / 12), and worded (Page 1) — in any corner or centered, top or bottom. You also control the starting number and the font size.

Can numbering start from something other than 1?+

Yes. Set 'Start at' to any number — useful when the document is part of a larger set, or when a cover page means the count should begin at 0 or 2.

Will the numbers overlap my content?+

Numbers sit in the page margin (about 1 cm from the edge). On documents with unusually full margins, pick a different corner or a smaller size — you can always re-run in seconds since nothing needs re-uploading.

Is the document uploaded for numbering?+

No. The numbers are drawn into the PDF by your own browser. The file never leaves your device.
